Free Simple Monthly Budget spreadsheet
One tab with income, fixed bills, spending, and savings. Each row has planned and actual columns, and the "left over" total works itself out. It opens in Excel, and in Google Sheets (File → Import).
What's inside
- Income: up to 3 sources
- Fixed bills: rent, utilities, phone, insurance, transport, subscriptions, debt
- Spending: groceries, eating out, household, personal, fun, gifts
- Savings: emergency fund, retirement, goals
- Automatic totals, a planned-vs-actual difference, and money left over

How to use it
- Fill in your take-home income at the top.
- Enter your planned amounts at the start of the month.
- Update actuals weekly. A negative difference means you're over in that category.
Need more than one tab? The Monthly Budget Tracker ($9) adds 20 categories, alerts, and a chart. The Paycheck Budget ($7) plans each biweekly check, and the Complete Bundle ($29) includes all 10 templates. Read the paycheck budgeting guide.
